Competitions known as Career Development Events (CDE) help students develop public speaking skills, team work skills and help expand their knowledge on particular topics. CDE's may help students discover a potential career path they would like to pursue in their life. There are two different categories: Public Speaking, and Team competitions. Speech competitions will help students develop public speaking skills while team competitions will help students develop team work skills, and develop/expand their knowledge on the particular topic.
