Why do you wish to serve as an FFA Officer?

I wish to serve as an FFA Officer for the challenges and opportunities to learn new skills. In addition, I would like to be able to create a positive influence in my school and my community. I want to be able to inspire and motivate others to be more involved in the FFA. I would be committed to being an officer and serve a great deal of determination. I would fulfill my role as an officer to its full potential.

From what you understand, what do you believe an officer's responsibilities are?

I believe an officer's responsibilities are to represent our chapter. The officers are the faces and the first impressions of our chapter. An officer's responsibility is to lead and inspire future FFA officers. They have a responsibility to acquire knowledge and skill, as they are the people that others turn to for guidance. As well, officers have a responsibility to be reliable and trustworthy. They must follow through on their commitments.

What qualities do you possess that would make you a good FFA officer?

I possess the quality of great communication and collaboration skills. I am able to actively listen to others' ideas and build upon them to promote growth. I also possess organization skills in the sense that allows me to complete tasks from start to finish. In addition, one of my strong skills is team building. I hold the ability to problem-solve and be supportive of my peers. I am also very goal-oriented and have a drive for results.

What FFA events have you participated in?

I have participated in fruit tree judging, opening and closing ceremonies, and market livestock.

What part of the FFA emblem best represents you as an individual? Why?

I believe that I as an individual am best represented by the eagle. I believe this because I am free-spirited the willingness to learn, explore, and achieve my goals.

Besides FFA - what other activities are you involved in? Do you foresee any other activities to cause time conflicts with your service as an FFA Officer?

I am involved in figure skating and I am auditioning for Dance Production at school. I do not foresee any of these activities causing time conflicts.
